These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the RosCar Tunisia website available at https://roscar.tn/, including the vehicle search, comparison, booking, payment, and customer support services provided through the website.
By accessing the website, submitting a booking request, or confirming a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
1. About RosCar Tunisia
RosCar Tunisia is an online car rental aggregator. We allow customers to search for and compare vehicles offered by independent local and international car rental companies operating in Tunisia.
RosCar Tunisia does not normally own, maintain, deliver, or operate the vehicles displayed on the website. The selected rental company is responsible for providing the vehicle and performing the rental service.
The final vehicle rental agreement is generally concluded directly between the customer and the selected rental company. That agreement may include additional conditions regarding the driver, vehicle, deposit, payment, insurance, fuel, mileage, cancellation, and use of the vehicle.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
You must review these Terms and Conditions before submitting a reservation. By completing a booking, you confirm that:
- You are legally capable of entering into a rental agreement.
- The information provided during booking is accurate and complete.
- You have reviewed the conditions of the selected rental offer.
- You agree to pay all applicable amounts connected with your booking.
- You agree to comply with the rules of the selected rental company.
If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should not use the booking service.
3. Car Rental Search and Comparison
RosCar Tunisia displays rental offers received from local and international car rental companies. Search results may be based on the selected location, dates, vehicle type, rental conditions, payment method, deposit requirements, insurance, mileage, and additional services.
Prices, availability, vehicle specifications, and rental conditions are supplied by rental companies and may change before the booking is confirmed.
RosCar Tunisia aims to present accurate information, but we cannot guarantee that every description, image, price, or availability status will always be complete or free from errors.
4. Available Rental Locations
Depending on the selected offer, a vehicle may be collected at:
- An airport in Tunisia
- A rental office
- A city centre location
- A hotel
- An apartment or private accommodation
- A railway or bus station
- Another agreed delivery address
Delivery to a hotel, accommodation, airport, or city address may be free or subject to an additional fee. The applicable delivery conditions will be shown in the selected offer or confirmed by the rental company.
5. How to Book a Car
To book a car through RosCar Tunisia, the customer normally needs to complete the following steps:
- Select the vehicle pickup location.
- Select the vehicle return location.
- Enter the pickup and return dates and times.
- Choose the preferred vehicle type or category.
- Review the price and rental conditions.
- Select any required additional options.
- Enter the driver contact information.
- Pay the required online advance payment.
- Receive the booking voucher by email.
The customer is responsible for checking all entered information before confirming the booking.
6. Additional Options
Depending on availability and the selected rental company, customers may be able to choose options such as:
- Car rental without a deposit
- Car rental without a credit card
- Cash payment
- Debit card payment
- Basic insurance
- Full coverage
- Child car seat
- Additional driver
- Unlimited mileage
- Hotel delivery
- Airport delivery
- Different return location
- Permission for cross border travel
Additional services are not automatically included unless they are clearly listed in the booking confirmation. Some options may require additional payment at the time of booking or vehicle collection.
7. Advance Payment and Booking Confirmation
To confirm a reservation, the customer will normally be required to pay 15% to 20% of the total rental amount online.
The exact advance payment amount will be displayed before the booking is confirmed. The remaining balance is normally paid directly to the rental company when the vehicle is collected or delivered.
The balance may be payable by cash, debit card, credit card, or another method accepted by the selected rental company.
A booking is not considered confirmed until the required advance payment has been successfully processed and a booking voucher has been issued.
8. Booking Voucher
After confirmation, the customer will receive a voucher at the email address provided during booking.
The voucher may contain:
- The booking reference number
- The selected vehicle or vehicle category
- The pickup and return locations
- The pickup and return dates and times
- The rental company contact details
- Vehicle collection instructions
- The amount paid online
- The remaining amount payable at collection
- The selected additional services
- Important rental conditions
The customer must review the voucher immediately and contact RosCar Tunisia if any information is incorrect.
The customer should keep the voucher available in printed or electronic form when collecting the vehicle.
9. Vehicle Categories and Models
A reservation may be confirmed for a vehicle category rather than a specific make, model, colour, year, or engine type.
If the reserved model is unavailable, the rental company may provide a similar vehicle from the same category or a higher category without reducing the essential features included in the booking.
Vehicle images displayed on the website are illustrative unless a specific model is expressly guaranteed in the booking conditions.
10. Car Rental Without a Deposit
Selected vehicles may be available without a security deposit. This option must be clearly selected during the booking process or stated in the confirmed rental conditions.
Rental without a deposit does not remove the customer’s responsibility for:
- Traffic fines
- Parking fines
- Fuel charges
- Missing equipment
- Damage excluded from the insurance
- Prohibited use of the vehicle
- Loss of keys or documents
- Other charges permitted by the rental agreement
If the selected offer does not expressly state that no deposit is required, the rental company may request a security deposit at collection.
11. Car Rental Without a Credit Card
Selected vehicles may be booked without a credit card. Depending on the rental company, the customer may be able to use a debit card or pay the remaining amount in cash.
The option to rent without a credit card must be shown in the selected offer or booking confirmation.
A rental company may still request a valid payment card for identification, optional services, fuel, damage, or other charges if this requirement was disclosed before booking.
12. Cash Payment
Some rental companies allow the customer to pay the remaining rental amount in cash at vehicle collection or delivery.
The advance payment required to confirm the booking is normally paid online.
The accepted currency, amount due, and cash payment conditions will be shown in the booking details or confirmed by the rental company.
13. Debit Card Payment
Some rental offers allow payment with a debit card. The card may need to:
- Be valid for the entire rental period
- Belong to the main driver
- Display the cardholder’s name
- Have sufficient available funds
- Meet the requirements of the rental company
Prepaid, virtual, electronic, or limited use cards may not be accepted unless the rental company expressly confirms otherwise.
14. Driver Requirements
The main driver and every additional driver must meet the age, licence, identification, and experience requirements of the selected rental company.
The required minimum age is commonly between 18 and 21 years, but some vehicle categories may require a higher minimum age.
A young driver fee or senior driver fee may apply depending on the rental company.
The driver must normally have held a valid driving licence for at least one year. A longer period may be required for premium vehicles, larger vehicles, or specific rental categories.
15. Required Documents
At vehicle collection, the main driver will normally need to present:
- A valid passport or national identity document
- A valid driving licence
- The booking voucher
- A valid payment method accepted by the rental company
- Any additional document required by the selected offer
An international driving permit may be required if the driving licence is not written in a recognised Latin or Arabic alphabet, if required by the rental company, or if required under applicable law.
Failure to present the required documents may result in refusal to provide the vehicle. In such cases, the booking may be treated as a late cancellation or failure to collect the vehicle.
16. Vehicle Collection
The customer must arrive at the agreed pickup location at the confirmed date and time.
At collection, the customer should:
- Review and sign the rental agreement.
- Inspect the vehicle for existing damage.
- Confirm that existing damage is recorded.
- Check the fuel level.
- Check the mileage.
- Check the included equipment.
- Ask questions about the return process.
The customer should take photographs or video of the vehicle at collection and return when permitted.
17. Late Arrival and Flight Delays
The customer must provide accurate arrival information, including a flight number when airport pickup is selected.
If the customer expects to arrive late, the customer must contact the rental company using the contact details shown on the voucher.
The rental company may not be able to hold the vehicle indefinitely. Additional charges may apply for collection outside normal working hours.
Failure to arrive without notice may be treated as a failure to collect the vehicle.
18. Vehicle Delivery
If hotel, airport, accommodation, or city delivery is selected, the customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and remain available by telephone or email.
The customer must be present at the agreed time with all required documents and payment methods.
Delivery times may be affected by traffic, weather, flight delays, road conditions, or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of RosCar Tunisia or the rental company.
19. Rental Price
The rental price may include:
- Vehicle rental for the confirmed period
- Basic insurance
- Applicable mileage allowance
- Mandatory local taxes or fees
- Services expressly listed in the booking confirmation
The price may not include:
- Fuel
- Security deposit
- Additional insurance
- Child car seats
- Additional drivers
- Hotel or airport delivery
- One way rental fees
- Cross border fees
- Road tolls
- Parking charges
- Traffic fines
- Cleaning fees
- Damage not covered by insurance
- Optional equipment
The final inclusions and exclusions are defined by the selected offer and rental agreement.
20. Unlimited Mileage
Selected rental offers may include unlimited mileage. This benefit applies only when it is expressly stated in the booking confirmation.
Other offers may include a daily, weekly, or total mileage limit. Additional distance may be charged according to the rental company’s price list.
Unlimited mileage does not necessarily apply to cross border travel or use in restricted areas.
21. Insurance
Most rental offers include a basic level of insurance. The exact insurance coverage, exclusions, excess, and customer liability depend on the selected rental company and offer.
Additional insurance or full coverage may be available during booking or at vehicle collection.
Insurance may not cover:
- Damage caused by prohibited use
- Damage caused by an unauthorised driver
- Damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Loss of keys or documents
- Incorrect fuel use
- Damage to tyres, wheels, glass, roof, or underbody unless expressly covered
- Personal belongings left in the vehicle
- Damage that is not reported according to the required procedure
The customer must review the insurance terms before accepting the vehicle.
22. Fuel Policy
The applicable fuel policy will be shown in the rental conditions or agreement.
The customer may be required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level recorded at collection. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the rental company may charge for the missing fuel and an additional refuelling service.
Fuel costs are normally not included in the rental price.
23. Use of the Vehicle
The customer must use the vehicle carefully and in compliance with applicable law and the rental agreement.
The vehicle must not be used:
- By an unauthorised driver
- For racing or speed testing
- For driving lessons
- For illegal activity
- For transporting prohibited goods
- While the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Outside permitted roads or territories
- To tow another vehicle unless authorised
- In a way that exceeds the vehicle capacity
- In violation of traffic or safety laws
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is locked and protected when unattended.
24. Cross Border Travel
Cross border travel is permitted only when it is expressly approved by the rental company before the journey.
Additional documents, insurance, written authorisation, or fees may be required.
Taking the vehicle outside Tunisia without permission may invalidate insurance and make the customer responsible for all resulting losses and expenses.
25. Traffic Fines, Tolls, and Parking
The customer is responsible for all traffic fines, parking charges, road tolls, and other road related costs incurred during the rental period.
The rental company may charge an administrative fee for identifying the driver or processing a fine.
RosCar Tunisia is not responsible for fines or penalties resulting from the customer’s use of the vehicle.
26. Accidents, Damage, and Theft
In the event of an accident, damage, theft, or attempted theft, the customer must:
- Contact the rental company immediately.
- Contact the police or other competent authority when required.
- Follow the instructions of the rental company.
- Obtain a police report when required.
- Record the details of all involved parties.
- Avoid admitting liability without authorisation.
- Provide all requested documents and information.
Failure to follow the required reporting procedure may reduce or invalidate insurance coverage.
27. Vehicle Breakdown
If the vehicle develops a technical problem, the customer must contact the rental company using the contact details on the voucher or rental agreement.
The customer should not authorise repairs or replacement parts without the prior approval of the rental company, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent danger.
Roadside assistance and replacement vehicle conditions depend on the selected rental company and rental agreement.
28. Vehicle Return
The customer must return the vehicle to the agreed location at the confirmed date and time.
The vehicle should be returned:
- In the condition in which it was collected, except for normal wear
- With the required fuel level
- With all keys and documents
- With all included equipment
- Without personal belongings
Late return may result in an additional hourly or daily rental charge.
Returning the vehicle to a different location without approval may result in additional fees.
29. Cancellation by the Customer
Selected offers may include free cancellation if the booking is cancelled within the period stated in the rental conditions.
Free cancellation is not automatic for every booking. The customer must review the cancellation deadline and refund conditions before confirming the reservation.
If the cancellation request is submitted after the permitted deadline, part or all of the advance payment may be non refundable.
A cancellation is effective only after it has been received and confirmed by RosCar Tunisia or the rental company.
30. Booking Changes
The customer may request changes to dates, times, locations, vehicle category, driver details, or additional services.
All changes are subject to availability and may affect the rental price.
A requested change is not confirmed until the customer receives an updated voucher or written confirmation.
31. Failure to Collect the Vehicle
A booking may be treated as a failure to collect the vehicle if the customer:
- Does not arrive at the agreed time without notice
- Does not provide the required documents
- Does not meet the driver requirements
- Does not provide an accepted payment method
- Refuses the disclosed rental conditions
- Provides incorrect booking information
In these circumstances, the advance payment may be non refundable, subject to the selected booking conditions and applicable law.
32. Cancellation or Modification by the Rental Company
A rental company may need to modify or cancel a booking due to vehicle unavailability, mechanical problems, accidents, safety concerns, incorrect pricing, operational restrictions, or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Where possible, RosCar Tunisia or the rental company may offer:
- A similar vehicle
- A higher vehicle category
- Different pickup arrangements
- An alternative rental company
- A refund of the amount paid through RosCar Tunisia
Any refund will be subject to the circumstances of the booking and applicable law.
33. Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.
The time required for a refund to appear depends on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, currency conversion, and processing method.
RosCar Tunisia is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment providers after a refund has been submitted.
